Buddhist Schools Ministry Highlights

Dear Parents, Families and Friends
Sorry for the delayed post. I was out with a cold. Nevertheless, here are some good reports that we would like to share with you.

The tenacity of young Pastor Tann and his wife, church planting amongst the poor in the squatters district, and caring for the soul and spirit of the local poor brought so much joy and inspiration to us daily. With Chuck, they would take us to local village schools to do English Presentation/dramas followed by a time of evening outreach in a rural village. God definitely gave us this window of time to see and encourage their work to reach the young Thais in local Buddhist schools. We were also able to give out Book of Hopes in Thai for each student so that they can read and find out more about their relationship with Christ.

Highlights:
Sawadee-cup! God has definitely been working here in the people of Thailand. There are so many examples of God’s grace and mercy that have touched my life. One day we went to a rogue village about 45 minutes outside of Udon Thani and do evangelism. We eventually came across an elderly women who had trouble hearing and could barely see. Not only was her physical conditions rough but her living conditions was just as poor. Through a translator we were able to communicate with her and she eventually let us prayed for her. We then put our hands on her and fervently interceded for her. We prayed she would be healed by the grace of God and that she would see God through this. After she said Amen, we asked if she could hear us and she said she could hear a lot better. She looked very joyful but confused at the same time. God works in such ‘crazy’ ways and it is such a privilege to see and experienced it first hand. ~ Matt Nguyen
